Softball Recap: West Scranton Invaders vs. North Pocono Trojans

West Scranton extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 4-11 in the process. They came up short against the North Pocono Trojans, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on April 10th.

As for North Pocono, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3. Considering they have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

For North Pocono's part, Areilla Bell tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. Bell has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Avarie Roscioli was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Amelia Bell, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Looking ahead, West Scranton will square off against Abington Heights at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Pocono, they will take on Wallenpaupack Area at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
