Preview: Lawrence North Wildcats vs. Fishers Tigers
The Lawrence North Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Fishers Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in the nation (Lawrence North is ranked 56th, while Fishers is ranked 47th).
Last Friday, Lawrence North came up short against Ben Davis and fell 60-53. It was the first time this season that Lawrence North let down their fans at home.
Meanwhile, Fishers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They snuck past Cathedral with a 56-51 victory.
Lawrence North's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 18-2. As for Fishers, they pushed their record up to 20-1 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Lawrence North couldn't quite finish off Fishers in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 and fell 61-58. Can Lawrence North avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
