It was a good run, but Tranquillity unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-match winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Dos Palos Broncos. The shutout was out of character for the Tigers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.
Tranquillity was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Dos Palos work for it, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-18, 26-24.
Tranquillity's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 12-4. As for Dos Palos, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-13-1.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Tranquillity is set to square off against their familiar foe Coalinga at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Dos Palos will challenge rival Firebaugh at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
