Baseball Recap: Standing Bear Comes Up Short

Standing Bear started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against York. They fell 11-6 to the Dukes on Tuesday. The Grizzlies' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Kameron Foster put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Those hits marked the first that he got this season.

In other batting news, Gavin Bullock was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. He also brought in three RBI, marking his first of the season. Cooper Schultz was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Standing Bear's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for York, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
