Baseball Recap: Voorhees Comes Up Short

Voorhees lost against North Hunterdon on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Vikings might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 4-3 to the Lions, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Voorhees' loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for North Hunterdon, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-7.

Looking ahead, Voorhees will head out on the road to square off against Gill St. Bernard's at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for North Hunterdon, they will challenge Westfield at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
