Baseball Recap: Hannibal Gets the Win

Hannibal won the last time they faced Palmyra and things went their way on Friday too. The Pirates walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Panthers.

The team relied heavily on Reid Holliday, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Hannibal is 2-1 when Holliday posts two or more runs, but 10-13 otherwise. Alex Arthaud was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Hannibal's win bumped their record up to 12-14. As for Palmyra, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hannibal will face off against Bowling Green at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Palmyra, they will square off against South Callaway at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
