Volleyball Recap: Addison Kilmer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mountain View over Montrose

If Mountain View was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Northeast Bradford last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles came up short against the Montrose Meteors on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Meteors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-16, 25-11.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Addison Kilmer, who had seven kills, five digs, and one block. Karley Norton was another key player, getting four aces.

Mountain View now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Montrose, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Mountain View has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against West Scranton on the 6th. As for Montrose, they will square off against Western Wayne at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
