Basketball Recap: Saranac Triumphs

Saranac's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They escaped with a win against the Peru Nighthawks by the margin of a single free throw, 58-57. That's more bragging rights for the Spartans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Saranac's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Peru, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Saranac will have a chance to go back-to-back against Peru: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on December 27th.
