Basketball Recap: Handley Drops Season-High Score on Talladega

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Handley). They took down the Talladega Tigers 54-39 on Tuesday. Handley pushed the score to 43-22 by the end of the third, a deficit Talladega cut but never quite recovered from.

When it comes to explaining why Talladega lost, don't look at Zae Cunningham. Despite the final result, she posted 19 points in addition to six boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Justasia Pointer, who had five points and three steals.

Handley's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Talladega, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Handley will face off against Randolph County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Talladega, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 49-29 win against Munford on the 15th.
