Baseball Game Preview: Bastrop Bears vs. Navarro Vikings

Bastrop is a perfect 7-0 against Navarro since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Bastrop will be playing in front of their home fans against Navarro at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Bastrop is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Hays just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 8-3 to the Hawks.

Bastrop saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Francisco Arriaga, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Another was Izaiah Regalado, who scored two runs and stole a base.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Navarro's offense. They came up short against McCallum last Friday, falling 11-0. The Vikings' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Bastrop's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Navarro, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Everything went Bastrop's way against Navarro in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as Bastrop made off with a 12-0 win. Does Bastrop have another victory up their sleeve, or will Navarro turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
