Volleyball Recap: Ridgeview Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home + How To Watch

If Ridgeview was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Union last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolfpack came up short against the Abingdon Falcons on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Ridgeview was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 25-18.

Ridgeview's defeat ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-4. As for Abingdon, their victory bumped their record up to 19-2.

Ridgeview and Abingdon should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. The Wolfpack will face off against Gate City at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (40 vs. 185). Meanwhile, Abingdon (ranked 17th) will meet Central Wise (ranked 113th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
