Baseball Recap: Panama Takes a Loss

Panama suffered their closest defeat since May 3, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of the Community Christian Royals by a score of 7-5. The matchup marked the Razorbacks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Panama saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shawn Hogan, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave Hogan a new career-high in hits.

Panama's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Community Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Panama will venture away from home to challenge Hartshorne at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Panama's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Hartshorne's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Community Christian, they will head out to take on Claremore at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
