Muscle Shoals posted their closest victory since September 25th on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Madison Academy Mustangs, sneaking past 2-1. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Muscle Shoals had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-13, 15-12.

Janiyah Oates paced Muscle Shoals' offense, picking up six kills. Oates got some help from Olivia Chapman and her 15 assists.

Muscle Shoals' win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 17-17. As for Madison Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 24-15 record this season.

Muscle Shoals does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Madison Academy, they will challenge Westminster Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
