Softball Recap: Rockvale vs. Blackman Blaze

Rockvale couldn't quite beat Blackman on Sunday, but the two-run margin was a huge improvement compared to the ten-run loss they were dealt last Friday. Rockvale fell just short of the Blackman Blaze by a score of 12-10. Rockvale was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Blackman apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April.

For Blackman's part, Madison Keel looked comfortable as she tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Sophia Sullivan was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Alyssa Barber was another key contributor, going 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI.

Rockvale has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Blackman, their win bumped their record up to 10-23.
