Volleyball Game Preview: Pickens Blue Flame vs. Bishop England Battling Bishops

The Pickens Blue Flame will take on the Bishop England Battling Bishops at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Pickens comes in on 11 and Bishop England on six.

Pickens is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Wren with a sharp 3-0 win.

Meanwhile, Bishop England faced Gray Collegiate Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Battling Bishops came out on top against the War Eagles by a score of 3-1.

While Bishop England might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Gray Collegiate Academy scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18, 22-25, 25-22.

Bishop England's victory bumped their record up to 21-11. As for Pickens, their win bumped their record up to 30-4.

Pickens skirted past Bishop England 2-1 when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Do the Blue Flame have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Battling Bishops turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
