Basketball Recap: Neshoba Central Takes a Loss

After flying high against Warren Central last Friday, Neshoba Central came back down to earth. The Neshoba Central Rockets fell 53-46 to the Vicksburg Gators on Thursday. The Rockets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Gators earlier this season, when they won 62-50.

When it comes to explaining why Neshoba Central lost, don't look at Jiar Henry. Despite the final result, she posted 18 points. Those 18 points gave Henry a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Shastyn Lewis, who earned 11 points.

Neshoba Central's defeat dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Vicksburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-10.

As of now, neither Neshoba Central nor Vicksburg have any future games scheduled.
