Baseball Recap: St. Henry Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for St. Henry's offense. They lost 8-0 to the Beechwood Tigers on Monday. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

St. Henry got a good showing from Trey Fedders, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Fedders is becoming a predictor of the Crusaders' success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 2-1 (and 2-9 when he doesn't).

St. Henry's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Beechwood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

St. Henry will face off against Covington Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Beechwood, they will take on Holy Cross at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
