Volleyball Recap: Seven Straight Home Wins for Mount Si + How To Watch

Mount Si had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Lake Washington on Thursday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Kangaroos. The contest marked the Wildcats' most dominant victory of the season so far.

While Mount Si won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 26-24, 25-18.

Taylor Showalter paced Mount Si's offense, picking up 15 kills. Showalter got some help from Miley Smith and her 17 assists. Ashelyn Braff controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Mount Si pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Lake Washington, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount Si will take on Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake Washington, they will challenge Issaquah at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
