Basketball Game Preview: Columbian Tornadoes vs. Bellevue Redmen

The Columbian Tornadoes and the Bellevue Redmen will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Columbian took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 62-34 victory over Waite. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Tornadoes had established a 20 point advantage.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Bellevue over Huron in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Bellevue put the hurt on Huron with a sharp 57-35 win. The match marked the Redmen's most dominant victory of the season so far.

The win made it two in a row for Bellevue and bumps their season record up to 4-2. As for Columbian, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Columbian came up short against Bellevue in their previous matchup back in February, falling 46-35. Can Columbian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
