Humboldt had won nine straight home games and Skylar Hottenstein did her part to make it ten on Saturday. The Cubs walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Southeast Lancers thanks in part to Hottenstein, who had 12 digs and six aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Humboldt took both sets by at least 16 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-7.

Humboldt's win bumped their record up to 34-9. As for Southeast, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-25.

As of now, neither Humboldt nor the Lancers have any future games scheduled.
