Basketball Recap: Millard Eagles vs. South Sevier Rams

Millard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 74-45 loss at the hands of the South Sevier Rams. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 69-46 back in December of 2024.

Noah Rowell and Derk Memmott certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Rowell went 5 for 9 en route to 13 points and six rebounds, while Memmott posted eight points and five boards. That's the most points Rowell has posted since back in November of 2024.

Leading South Sevier to victory were Brace Brindley and Peyton Ingram. Brindley went 7 of 12 on his way to 20 points and four steals, while Ingram dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds. Krew Redd also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Millard's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for South Sevier, they pushed their record up to 16-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Millard didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 76-66 win against Water Canyon on the 31st. South Sevier has also already played their next match, a 57-47 victory against Enterprise on the 29th.
