Recap: Aquilla Cougars vs. Gholson
The Aquilla Cougars waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 55-41 victory over Gholson. That's another feather in the cap for Aquilla, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Gholson's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Aaron Salinas, who scored 14 points, and Hudson Thomas who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Thomas has scored all season.
Aquilla's win bumped their record up to 12-15. As for Gholson, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Jonesboro the next time they take the court. Gholson will head out to face Jonesboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Aquilla will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
