The Lakewood Spartans will challenge the Osceola Kowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Lakewood 8.7, Osceola 13.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
Lakewood's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Friday. They breezed past Gibbs to the tune of 28-0. Considering the Spartans have won eight matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

 Khalan Davis

| 09/18/25 @ St. Petersburg | 108 |
| 09/12/25 vs Pinellas Park | 78 |
| 08/29/25 @ Largo | 70 |

It was another big night for Khalan Davis, who rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Those 132 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ayden Wallace, who threw for 138 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lakewood was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 303 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gibbs only rushed for 175.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Osceola's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 35-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lake Wales. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Kowboys, who until this game were averaging 13.33 points allowed.
Defeat or not, Osceola got some senior leadership from Alijah Jenkins and Jeffrey Sinophat. Jenkins gained 147 total yards and a touchdown, while Sinophat rushed for 122 yards and one score.
Even if they lost, Osceola's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Amier Clarke was especially locked on to Lake Wales' QB and sacked him twice. Clarke has been hot recently, having also posted six or more total tackles the last four times he's played. Nathaniel Barnett was another major factor on D, making nine total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Lakewood's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Osceola, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Lakewood has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 211.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Osceola struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 226.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Lakewood came up short against Osceola when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 28-22. Will the Spartans have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
