Soccer Recap: Cambridge Takes a Loss

Cambridge's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Weir Red Riders. While losing is never fun, Cambridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 461st in Ohio, while Weir are ranked 60th in West Virginia).

Cambridge is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7-1. As for Weir, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 5-6.

Cambridge will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Brooke at 6:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Weir, they will square off against Harrison Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Harrison Central will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Weir surely won't give up without a fight.
