Basketball Recap: Zeynup (Z) Cakmak and Kahlan Williams Secure Win for St. Timothy's

St. Timothy won against Roland Park Country on Friday with 53 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. St. Timothy's was the clear victor by a 53-27 margin over the Rock Ridge Phoenix. Winning may never get old, but St. Timothy's sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

St. Timothy's was led to victory by Kahlan Williams and Zeynup (Z) Cakmak. Williams posted 16 points and six rebounds, while Cakmak went 6-for-15 to rack up 17 points. Williams continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Dream Clark was another key player, putting up seven points and five steals.

St. Timothy's was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They are 2-1 when they've passed the ball that well.

St. Timothy's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Rock Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Coming up, St. Timothy's will head out to take on Mount de Sales Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rock Ridge, they will be home for the holidays to greet Loudoun Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Phoenix's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
