Football Recap: Mt. Pleasant Takes a Loss

If Mt. Pleasant was feeling good fresh off their 21-0 takedown of Whitehouse last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell 7-3 to the Marshall Mavericks on Friday. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Mt. Pleasant's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Marshall, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Coincidentally, Mt. Pleasant and Marshall will both be playing Texas the next time they take the field. The Mavericks will host the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Tigers will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
