Volleyball Recap: Taylor Clay Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Normal West

It was a proper cat-fight when O'Fallon challenged Normal West on Friday. The Panthers won by a set and slipped past the Wildcats 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since September 2nd.

O'Fallon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Taylor Clay, who had six digs and four aces. What's more, Clay racked up nine assists, the most she's had over her last eight matchups. Alli Hamm was another key player, getting ten assists and seven digs.

O'Fallon is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Normal West, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Coincidentally, O'Fallon and Normal West will both be playing Limestone the next time they take the court. The Panthers will head out to face the Rockets at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
