Soccer Game Preview: Dawson County vs. Calhoun

The Dawson County Tigers will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Calhoun Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

While the 4-4 score might suggest a draw, it was Pinecrest Academy who was credited with the win on Thursday.

Calhoun came up short against Dalton on Friday, falling 6-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their matchups with the Catamounts: they've now lost four in a row.

Calhoun's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Dawson County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Dawson County might still be hurting after the 5-1 loss they got from Calhoun in their previous meeting back in February of 2021. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Dawson County was down 3-0.
