Springfield Township came tearing into Thursday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the William Tennent Panthers. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 7-3 win on Tuesday.

Max May tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mike Capoferri was excellent, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Jon Matthews, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI.

Springfield Township's record is now 16-3. As for William Tennent, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-14.

Springfield Township has already played their next contest, a 7-4 victory against La Salle College on the 10th. William Tennent does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
