Basketball Recap: Glenn Hills Comes Up Short

Glenn Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Josey Eagles 88-4. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 58-2.

Leading Josey to victory were Shaniya Sanders and Keasia Henderson. Sanders went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc to rack up 32 points along with seven steals and six rebounds, while Henderson dropped a double-double on 30 points and ten assists. Sanders has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played. Zakayla Williams was another key player, putting up six points and six assists.

Glenn Hills' loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Josey, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Butler the next time they take the court. Glenn Hills will head out to face Butler at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Josey will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
