Softball Recap: Franklin County Has No Trouble Against Amite County

Franklin County won the last time they faced Amite County and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Trojans. Considering the Bulldogs have won six matches by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Franklin County is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Amite County, they dropped their record down to 1-16 with the loss, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Franklin County and Amite County will both be playing Bogue Chitto the next time they take the field. The Trojans will host the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bulldogs will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
