Vanden can attribute much of their success to Dani Rubi, who had three digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Rubi a new career-high.
She wasn't the only good server: Vanden was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 27 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're ace total in three consecutive matchups.
Wood has been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season. As for Vanden, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
