Basketball Recap: Bigfork Beats Cherry for Their Sixth Straight Win

Bigfork entered their tilt with Cherry on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Cherry Tigers by a score of 56-48. That's more bragging rights for the Huskies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Bigfork's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points per game. As for Cherry, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Bigfork and Deer River will face off at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Bigfork knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Deer River likes a good challenge. As for Cherry, they will take on Barnum at 7:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
