Basketball Game Preview: Pocomoke Warriors vs. Bennett Clippers

Pocomoke hasn't had much luck against Bennett recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Pocomoke Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bennett Clippers at 6:00 p.m. Pocomoke knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Bennett likes a good challenge.

Last Thursday, Pocomoke came up short against Wicomico and fell 92-80. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (63), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Bennett beat Parkside 45-39 on Saturday.

Bennett's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-4-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points per game. As for Pocomoke, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Pocomoke came up short against Bennett in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 82-74. Can Pocomoke avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
