It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Beaver Dam ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past the Monona Grove Silver Eagles 5-4. The win continues a trend for the Golden Beavers in their matchups with the Silver Eagles: they've now won six in a row.

Addy Damon spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Beaver Dam got a big performance out of Aubrey Abfall, who went 4-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mady Bryant, who went 3-for-5 with two RBI and one double.

Beaver Dam's record now sits at 8-3. As for Monona Grove, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Beaver Dam will take on Fort Atkinson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Golden Beavers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blackhawks have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Monona Grove, they will head out to square off against Oregon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Silver Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
