Basketball Recap: Van Alstyne Comes Up Short

Van Alstyne lost against Honey Grove back in December of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Van Alstyne Panthers took a 37-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Honey Grove Warriors.

Van Alstyne's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Honey Grove, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-9.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Van Alstyne Panthers face off against the Whitesboro Bearcats at 8:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Honey Grove, they will challenge Tom Bean at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
