Softball Recap: Yakama Nation Tribal Eagles vs. Pomeroy Pirates
Yakama Nation Tribal had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. Their rough 24-5 defeat to the Pomeroy Pirates on Monday might stick with them for a while.
For Pomeroy's part, they got a massive performance out of Kendyll Potoshnik, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Isabella Field was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.
Pomeroy's win bumped their record up to 2-11.
Yakama Nation Tribal will be playing at home against Sunnyside Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Pomeroy, they will head out on the road to challenge Dayton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Pomeroy's favor is that they have posted big run totals in their last four games.
