After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Elsinore, California Military Institute was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the San Jacinto Valley Academy Wolves as the California Military Institute Rough Riders made off with a 47-27 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Rough Riders have posted since December 11, 2024.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Day Edwards, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Steven Abbott, who put up six points.

The victory got California Military Institute back to even at 9-9. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, they dropped their record down to 6-9 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

California Military Institute will take on Hamilton at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, they will square off against Santa Rosa Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Santa Rosa Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully San Jacinto Valley Academy likes a good challenge.
