Recap: ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars vs. Galva Wildcats

The ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars came into Tuesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They pulled ahead with a 68-67 photo finish over Galva. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Galva's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JP Sloan, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sloan has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Cyrus Lilly, who scored 13 points along with four steals and two blocks.

ROWVA/Williamsfield's victory bumped their record up to 13-14. As for Galva, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-18.

ROWVA/Williamsfield will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Monmouth United at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. As for Galva, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 63-35 defeat vs. Mercer County on the 9th.
