Softball Game Preview: Yonkers Bulldogs vs. Byram Hills Bobcats

The Yonkers Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Byram Hills Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Yonkers comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

On Thursday, Yonkers came up short against Hastings and fell 11-8.

Mya Campbell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Leila Campbell was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Byram Hills had to kick off their season on the road on April 9th, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over Gorton.

Yonkers' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Byram Hills, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Everything went Yonkers' way against Byram Hills in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Yonkers made off with a 23-15 victory. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
