The DeLaSalle Islanders will take on the Academy of Holy Angels Stars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. DeLaSalle is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

DeLaSalle made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Kennedy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Islanders fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday. The Islanders' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

DeLaSalle saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Saul Garr, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Academy of Holy Angels). They put the hurt on Richfield with a sharp 13-6 victory on Wednesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Stars with their most commanding win of the season.

Academy of Holy Angels' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for DeLaSalle, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

DeLaSalle couldn't quite get it done against Academy of Holy Angels when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-1. Can the Islanders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
