Premont put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Progreso Red Ants 41-15. Fans of the Cowboys have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ point.
James Jaime was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 205 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Premont was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 339 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since was before the start of last season.
Despite the loss, Progreso had strong showings from Den Garza, who rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown, and Isael Trevino, who rushed for 55 yards.
Premont's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Progreso, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Premont will take on Agua Dulce at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Agua Dulce will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Premont surely won't give up without a fight. As for Progreso, they are on the road again on Friday to play Santa Gertrudis Academy at 7:00 p.m.
