Basketball Recap: Kingstree Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

Kingstree won the last time they faced Lamar, and Naydia Shaw did her part to make sure it happened again. The Kingstree Blazers breezed by the Lamar Silver Foxes to the tune of 64-14 on Thursday thanks in part to Shaw, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 steals. Those 11 steals gave her a new career-high.

Jaiden McKnight was another key player, putting up six points and four blocks. McKnight is crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Kingstree has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Lamar, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kingstree will challenge Mullins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mullins has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Lamar, they will take on Lee Central at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lee Central's defense has only allowed 26.3 points per game this season, so Lamar's offense will have their work cut out for them.
