Softball Recap: Cornell's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against New Brighton last Wednesday, Cornell came back down to earth. Cornell lost 19-3 to the Burgettstown Blue Devils on Wednesday. The loss put an end to the Raiders' undefeated start to the season.

Cornell saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katie Wegley, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Cornell's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Burgettstown, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Cornell will challenge Carlynton at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cornell is facing Carlynton at the right time seeing as Carlynton is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Burgettstown, they will take on Madonna at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
