Recap: Illini West Chargers vs. Quincy Notre Dame Raiders
The Illini West Chargers lost against the Quincy Notre Dame Raiders back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Illini West fell 51-41 to Quincy Notre Dame. Illini West has not had much luck with Quincy Notre Dame recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Illini West's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colby Robertson, who scored six points along with six steals and five assists. Robertson hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Reece Shoup, who scored ten points.
Illini West's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9. As for Quincy Notre Dame, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-8.
Illini West will challenge Farmington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Quincy Notre Dame, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Barry Western at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Barry Western is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
