Softball Game Preview: Edgerton Crimson Tide vs. Evansville Blue Devils

The Edgerton Crimson Tide will head out to take on the Evansville Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Edgerton has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 14.

Edgerton managed to slip by Clinton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Crimson Tide lost 17-0 to the Cougars on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Crimson Tide have suffered against the Cougars since April 9, 2019.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Evansville's offense. They came up short against Brodhead on Tuesday, falling 6-0. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost seven in a row.

Evansville now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Edgerton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

Edgerton suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Evansville in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Crimson Tide avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
