Recap: Redlands East Valley vs. Oak Hills
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Redlands East Valley Wildcats walked away with it. They were the clear victor by a 5-1 margin over the Bulldogs. Redlands East Valley might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won eight contests by three goals or more this season.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Cruz Navarro and
Matthew Thorig, who scored all five of Redlands East Valley's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 41 so far this season.
The win (which was Redlands East Valley's fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-4-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four matches. As for Oak Hills, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-4-2.
