Football Game Preview: Faith Lutheran Crusaders vs. Foothill Falcons + How To Watch

The Faith Lutheran Crusaders will challenge the Foothill Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Faith Lutheran is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Coronado, who was ranked 18th at the time (Faith Lutheran was ranked 23rd). The Crusaders took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars on Friday. The matchup marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Foothill had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Diamondbacks by a score of 37-30.

Faith Lutheran better keep an eye on Anthony Taylor. He was instrumental in Foothill's win, rushing for 110 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries, while also picking up 58 receiving yards. That's the most rushing yards Taylor has posted since back in August. Braxton Bonnett was another key player, picking up 111 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Foothill's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Faith Lutheran, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Faith Lutheran took their victory against Foothill in their previous matchup back in November of 2023 by a conclusive 43-22 score. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
