Basketball Recap: Stuart's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Stuart lost against St. Mary back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Stuart Broncos fell just short of the St. Mary's Cardinals by a score of 43-41.

St. Mary's got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Pyper Ickes out in front who went 5 of 12 on her way to 13 points and seven assists. Gracie Williamson was another key player, going 6 for 15 en route to 12 points and eight boards.

Stuart's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5. As for St. Mary's, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-1.

Stuart will face off against North Central at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. After both having extra time off, St. Mary's and Boyd County will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 6:15 p.m. on February 11th.
