Baseball Recap: Cameron Takes a Loss

Cameron suffered their biggest defeat since April 9th on Saturday. They came up short against the Moorefield Yellow Jackets, falling 15-2.

Cameron saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zayde Long, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Long has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.

Cameron's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Moorefield, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-15.

Looking ahead, Cameron is taking a road trip to face off against East Hardy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.89 runs per game on average), something the Dragons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Moorefield, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Berkeley Springs at 6:00 p.m.
